On 16 May 2005, Gene, Betsy and I did a 40.3 mile bicycle ride from the Millbrae BART station to the Union City BART station. The ride was along a portion of the southern part of the San Francisco Bay; we crossed the bay via the Dumbarton bridge. We started the trip by entered the BART system at the North Berkeley BART station, and we rode BART to the Millbrae Station, the last BART station on the San Francisco Peninsula. We then bicycled along the bay shore, crossed the Dumbarton Bridge and cycled to the BART station in Union City, in the East Bay. We rode BART back to Berkeley. A delightful trip where we didn't have to use our car's.
Where is the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) LOCATED?
We started this bicycle ride at 10:30 a.m., and finished at 3:00 p.m. The temperature was mild and the visibility was good.
